Rockin' Baby Giveaway!

I am super excited about this week's giveaway! I found this great little store called Rocker Bye Baby that has very cool hand sewn items, all done by a mom named Amber! Her stuff is truly well-crafted and is absolutely perfect for hip, edgy moms or for that one-of-a-kind unique baby gift! (ahem, which BTW I am due in May LOL).

So check her store out, she makes everything! Her motto is, "WE HAVE EVERYTHING IN STOCK FOR YOUR BABY TO ROCK!!" and she's not kidding! This rockin mom makes onesies, bibs, burp rags, taggie blankets, changing pads, complete crib sets, etc and even takes custom orders. I personally LOVE having unique baby stuff that no one else has, and you can only get that from artisans like Rocker Bye Baby, not in regular stores! Most of the stuff in stores is a little too foo-foo for me anyway ;)

Tell me if you agree! Leave a comment here and you will be entered to win this gorgeous skull taggie blankie, with which he has coined the term "Skullie!" We all know babies love the tags the best, so these Skullies are chock full of them in different colors and she even adds a ring for pacifiers or other toys. Then she tops it off with the softest chenille and its perfect!

Win a rockin' tote bag from Little Shark Press!

Ok kiddos, we've got a great giveaway this
week! LITTLE SHARK PRESS is an independent screenprinting company creating unconventional designs, using eco-friendly water-based inks and sweatshop-free apparel. Now that rocks!

I know, I know, some of you are sick of the whole "green" thing... and me being pregnant I am definitely guilty of eating some not-so-friendly chicken from McDonalds once in a while... but hey, I can only hope that we still try our best in whichever ways we can to be kind to the earth and its inhabitants. Now with this badass Sugar Skull tote bag you can do it in style! Green doesnt have to be frumpy, people. I would totally use this bag when I go shopping at Michael's instead of using a plastic bag just to buy some jewelry stuff. Or to carry some books and toys when I have to go somewhere with my 2-year old.

Lisa and Scott are the hard workers behind Little Shark Press and they even donate a portion of their proceeds to a worthy cause. So go check out their cool, trendy designs they have in their shop!!
Oh and dont forget to leave your comments and tell us what you think to be entered to win it!

01/21/09 Winner update!
Heidi G is the winner of this fun tote! Congrats! An email has been sent to the winner for shipping info :)

Come shop with me this Sat!

Looking for unique gifts this year? Then not only are you at the right blog, but I will be selling my funky, kitsch jewelry items at this huge Craftorama this Sat! Come see me!!

We gals here at Lipgloss and Razorblades firmly believe that handmade gifts are not only unique and one of a kind in contrast to the typical Target and Walmart wares (even tho we love those stores) but when you buy directly from an artisan you are helping the economy in the most most effective way possible... by supporting that artist and their family directly! They in turn have a lil' extra money to spend boosting the economy too. And we all know times are tough right now, but where you choose to spend your dollar can make all the difference this holiday season :)

Much love, Stacy M.

I know, I know... I jumped on the Twilight bandwagon!

So half of you are probably ecstatic that I've joined your little fictional world of forbidden teenage love... and the other half of you are like, "Stacy, are you really buying into all that Twilight junk?" And to that I say... yes, I know its for tweens but I'm a stay-at-home mom who is stuck at home a LOT and I do have to take breaks from crafting ya know! Besides, it IS a decent book and I love to read anyway.

Not to say I dont have my gripes about some of it. First, I think Bella is stupid. Period. But like Stacy H said, I guess I have to try and remember how fresh and naive girls at that age can be. Oh, was I really once like that? Most certainly LOL. Second, it's just not believable to me that a hot vampire with centuries of maturity and undoubtedly a huge roster of people he's met along the way that he would really fall in love with some dumb high school girl. Hmmmph. Ok and thirdly, I wont spoil anything but I didnt care much for the second book in the series, New Moon. Lets just say Edward wasnt in it much.

Anyhoo, I am about 1/2 way throught the third book, Eclipse and its OK so far. (A big Thank You to my friend Becky who let me borrow the whole series). Bella is still irking me, haha. And I am actually looking forward to seeing the movie, which I am going to see with the other mommies in my playdate area group. My husband doesnt even wanna hear about it... he teases me, "Oh great, now you'll want me to be more like this dumb Edwin guy or whatever," LOL.

Well let me know what you all think, I'm sure there are some opinions out there! I know this is a crafting blog, but we also wanted to write about other trends and anything else that interests us! And dont forget our first artist giveaway will be announced in a few days!

Running With Scissors is on the LOOSE!

I'm totally breaking the old rule and I'm running with scissors! I have found 2 local shops that are now showcasing my merch!!

I have a bunch of my punk rock baby stuff and also some super-hot jewelry showcasing in Bohemia! If you haven't been in that place I totally suggest it! It's called an artisans emporium and it totally lives up to it's title! They have some of the craziest stuff ever in there and everything is handmade by local artists!

I have some necklaces and earrings showcasing in a tattoo shop also! It's called Inkaholics Anonymous and it has the best retail area of any tattoo shop I've seen! They have a TON of cool piercing jewelry and now they are selling my crazy, punk rock jewelry too!! (even though my daughter Violet christened their shop with a huge poopy diaper when I went to drop off my stuff....LOL)

Check it out for yourselves!!!

Happy Halloween!

It's Halloween and no better day than today to officially launch our new blog by posting the first entry! If you havent figured out by now... we are two gals both named Stacy and we are super stoked to share all of our kickass craft ideas with you, our gossip, our gripes, give away free stuff... and hear back from you too!

Okay, this is us at a tatto convention in like 2005 LOL. I'm Stacy M and I'm on the left. I met Stacy H about 9 years ago bartending at a dive bar in Tucson. We continued to work at various bars and nightclubs together bartending and cocktail waitressing and both of us working our way through college. Stacy and I would often get in trouble while working the same shifts for talking too much, laughing our asses off... or throwing quarters back at people who left skimpy tips... hahaha! Like most 20-somethings, we also partied and went to almost every freaking metal show that came through Arizona. Now a days, nobody believes any of our crazy stories that we have accumulated over the years... like how we partied with Static-X all the time, went to a strip club with Orgy and Maynard, started bar fights and had an all-female modified car club!

Well, now its 2008 and we're a lil' older and a lil' wiser. Both married with kids, we now love staying at home with them and being rockin' domestic goddesses! Crafting is our outlet and since we share so many great ideas between us, we decided to share this blog and feature some other great artists, too! We love unique, edgy, handmade goodies that you cant just get at the store... so if you do too, then you are in the right spot! So stay tuned for give-aways galore and a fun time with Stacy and Stacy :)

XOXO, Stacy M
